Do you fancy a cocktail on your upcoming cruise with Princess Cruises?
We enjoyed quite a few as we had the Princess Plus all-inclusive drinks package on our cruise on Sky Princess. Here is a short video to show just some of the Princess Cruise cocktails. We have also included a photo of the front of the Mix Bar menu.

I apologise for the terrible audio in the video. The video was shot on a phone it is not professional quality but I hope it is of use.
More about the bar and the Princess Cruise cocktails!
The Mix Bar on Sky Princess is located at the front of the Lido deck 16 next to the Salty Dog food outlet.
The cocktails listed on the menu vary from bar to bar, but you can actually order any cocktail from any bar. Ask the bar staff to make suggestions based on ingredients you like, they are very accommodating!
All of the cocktails we could see were priced at under $12 which meant they were included. The only limit was there was a maximum of 15 drinks each per day. I say a limit but initially, we thought of it as a target. It proved a target that was impossible to achieve, the measures were very generous in most bars.
Good and bad bars?
Honestly, most bars were excellent and gave good measures and prompt service.
The only one we saw using measures to actually measure the alcohol going into the drink was the casino bar. The drinks seemed weaker in the casino bar so we tended to avoid it. Room service could also be a little on the ‘regulation’ side. We ordered a single vodka one night and there was hardly any in the glass.
Are there good and bad Princess Cruise cocktails?
Again, it really is down to what you like but I can recommend the Mai Tai and Dirty Banana. For a hard hitter, the 007 Vodka Martini blew your socks off.
The worst drinks to order on the drinks package were straight up or vodka and coke etc. You can only order these with a single shot within the drinks package. Order a double vodka and it goes over the $12 drink limit and you get charged the difference for the drink. Cocktails often had two or three shots in them as standard making them much better value for money (in my eyes).
Was Princess Plus worth the money?
For us absolutely!
Forgetting the drinks for a moment, the extra charge was only a little bit more than the crew incentive and wifi combined. The wifi worked and worked well, we streamed Disney we no problems at all. We were happy to know the crew that served us would be getting tipped correctly.
Add coffee, tea and bottles of water and you probably get to a break-even point. The coffee from the International Cafe on deck 5 was as good as any land side coffee shop. There were no limits to how many soft drinks you could have.
As we are now at break-even, you can then add a few beers, or a glass of wine at dinner, all included. Wrap it all up with the cocktails and the savings can be huge.
How long will Princess keep offering Princess Plus is anyone guess. It seems too good to be true, for the moment here is a link (for as long as it works) to the Princess Plus offering on the UK Princess Cruises website.
